Mission

The start of the day for most people involves getting somewhere, whether it be work or school, on time. Although this seems like a minor part of our day, it can easily become one of the most stressful for us. This can be due to traffic, unforeseen weather or circumstance, or (the most recurring factor in our personal experience) because of trains blocking roadways. Our mission is to help people on the road get to where they need to be without dealing with the inconvenience of getting stopped by a passing train.

TrainTracker was created as part of a class project for the Digital Media Innovation sequence at Texas State University. The developer, Claire Hansen, has been wishing for a solution to the inconveniences of trains in her current home of San Marcos, Texas, for years, so she saw this assignment as the perfect opportunity to bring her idea to life!
